Volvo Trucks celebrates 100 years with a special edition of its FH and FH16 trucks

Volvo Trucks will celebrate 100 years on the road in 2027 with a special edition of its heavy-duty trucks, incorporating improvements designed to deliver greater safety, power, and energy efficiency. As part of this milestone, the company will introduce the “100 Years Edition” for the Volvo FH and Volvo FH16 models. This anniversary version will feature exclusive interior and exterior design elements, along with updates to its electric, diesel, and gas powertrain systems.

The company, which develops heavy-duty trucks with different powertrain options, has equipped this special edition with redesigned seats featuring a two-tone concept, high-quality leather bases, and embroidered commemorative motifs.

Distinctive features also include illuminated steps, LED strips integrated into the console with red or white ambient lighting, and a welcome light that projects the commemorative motif onto the ground when the door is opened. The same design appears on the 3D-printed speaker grilles. Curtains featuring images of Volvo trucks from the past 100 years will also be included, along with a thicker floor mat to enhance comfort and the sense of exclusivity inside the cab.

Volvo Trucks 100 Years Edition

Renewed both inside and out and featuring a series of recent improvements to its electric, diesel, and gas powertrain systems, Volvo Trucks is introducing its flagship FH Aero, FH, FH16 Aero, and FH16 models in this new special edition. The 100 Years Edition can be ordered with most powertrain and chassis configurations and will be available for order starting in September 2026.

This special edition is a way to recognize Volvo Trucks’ journey over the past century, highlighting the technological evolution of its trucks as well as their high performance. A clear example is the Volvo FH, which has recently received significant powertrain updates for its electric, gas, and diesel versions, resulting in improvements in performance, range, energy efficiency, and power. Several of its configurations have also been recognized as the highest-rated trucks in their respective segments.

The design was inspired by our Swedish heritage and the professionalism that comes from years of innovation and progress, together with the trust and passion of our customers.”

The 100 Years Edition trucks will also feature interior improvements designed to increase driver comfort and enhance the cabin environment. The seats have been redesigned under a new two-tone concept, with a high-quality leather base and an embroidered commemorative motif on the gray fabric covering the upper half. Tan leather details have also been added, including a divider, in a shade that complements the decorative stripes on the truck’s exterior paintwork.

For fleets, the 100 Years Edition represents much more than an aesthetic package. This special version combines Volvo’s latest powertrain improvements with cab features designed to enhance the driver experience. In this way, fleets can prioritize driver comfort and a distinctive appearance without sacrificing the versatility that characterizes these configurations.
