Truck Driver Appreciation Week: Prizes and Freebies for Truckers

Truck driver
Truck Driver Appreciation Week is bringing plenty of prizes and freebies: a custom Kenworth W990, $50,000 in cash, $1,000 fuel cards, gift cards, free food and drinks, and millions of rewards points are among the promotions available to truck drivers.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2026 runs from September 13 through 19 across the United States, but many of this year’s promotions for truckers will continue throughout September. Travel centers, manufacturers, service companies and trucking organizations are offering everything from free food and drinks to one of the biggest prizes of the season: a new truck plus $50,000 in cash.

The week, organized by the American Trucking Associations (ATA), marks its 38th year in 2026 and recognizes the work of approximately 3.6 million professional truck drivers across the United States.

For drivers on the road this week, here are some of the biggest promotions and giveaways still available.

A Kenworth W990 and $50,000 from Pilot

The biggest prize comes from Pilot Flying J, which has brought back its Road Warrior contest.

One professional driver will receive a Kenworth W990 customized by Diesel Brothers plus $50,000 in cash. Nominations remain open through September 18, with the winner scheduled to be announced in October.

That is not the only Pilot offer available. Throughout September, registered professional drivers can use the app to claim three free drinks and one free snack each week at participating Pilot, Flying J and One9 locations.

Four $1,000 fuel cards

Truck Centers Inc. is giving away four $1,000 fuel cards.

Customers can enter by visiting any of the company’s 10 dealerships between September 14 and 18. The four winners will be notified during the week of September 21. Drivers visiting the dealerships during the celebration may also receive additional giveaways.

Great Dane: 156 prizes for drivers

Great Dane is running four special Driver Appreciation Week giveaways, and drivers can enter one, several or all of them through a single entry form.

Prizes include 100 Great Dane hats, 50 $100 dinner gift cards, five Turtlebox speakers and one Traeger Woodridge Pro grill.

That adds up to 156 prizes, making it one of the giveaways with the largest number of winners during this year’s celebration.

Kwik Trip is giving away 1.5 million points

Kwik Trip / Kwik Star is running its Truck Driver Appreciation Sweepstakes throughout September.

A total of 30 winners will each receive 50,000 Kwik Rewards Fleet Points, bringing the total giveaway to 1.5 million points.

Kwik Rewards Fleet members can earn entries through qualifying purchases of commercial fuel, including diesel, CNG or dispensed DEF, during September. A mail-in, no-purchase entry option is also available. The sweepstakes is limited to eligible residents of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, South Dakota, North Dakota and Michigan.

In addition to the sweepstakes, Kwik Trip is offering free in-store items to registered Kwik Rewards Fleet members throughout the month.

TA/Petro: points and collectibles

TravelCenters of America (TA/Petro) is running its Every Driver Counts Sweepstakes for EarnifyPro members throughout September.

There are 16 prizes available. Two winners will each receive 50,000 EarnifyPro points, valued at approximately $500, while the remaining prizes include TA- and RFK Racing-themed collectibles.

Drivers can earn an entry by purchasing at least 60 gallons of commercial diesel in a single transaction, purchasing certain oil changes or generating a work order of at least $500 at a TA Truck Service Center.

Truckstop is giving away merchandise and collectible trucks

Truckstop is also running its Rockstars of the Road Giveaway.

Drivers can enter by answering a simple question: What advice would you give another truck driver? The grand prize is a Truckstop merchandise package that includes items such as a hat, sweatshirt, socks and water bottle.

The company is also selecting daily winners on Facebook and LinkedIn to receive buildable truck models. The swag bag winner will be announced by email on September 21.

Official Truck Driver Appreciation Week prizes

The American Trucking Associations is also encouraging drivers and companies to post photos of their celebrations using #NTDAW26 and #ThankATrucker.

Some of those posts may be featured on the organization’s social media channels and entered for a chance to receive an official NTDAW prize pack.

RaceTrac: free pizza, drinks and energy drinks

RaceTrac has extended its celebration through most of September, from September 2 through 30.

Professional drivers registered with RaceTrac Rewards can receive one free slice of pizza, one free fountain drink and one free energy drink each week, with participating energy drink brands including Reign, Bang, NOS and Full Throttle.

Drivers also receive double fuel points throughout the month. To access the promotions, the app profile must be set up as a professional driver with “semi-truck” selected.

Rutter’s: one free drink every day

At Rutter’s, the offer is particularly simple: drivers who show a valid CDL can receive one free drink per day from September 13 through 19.

Drivers can choose any size hot coffee, fountain drink or slushie. The offer is available at all Rutter’s stores and does not require accumulating rewards points — drivers simply need to show their CDL at checkout.

Love’s adds bonus points and food deals

Love’s Travel Stops is offering double points on in-store purchases and triple points on drink refills throughout September for professional drivers using Love’s Rewards.

There are also several food promotions available this week. From September 14 through 20, for example, purchasing a three-piece Drummies order includes a free egg cup. Through September 19, drivers can also find a buy two, get one free promotion on select Old Wisconsin Meat Snacks, along with two Subway footlongs for $13.99.

Sheetz: free sub and DEF for $1.99

Sheetz has several promotions available for drivers purchasing high-flow diesel.

At participating locations, drivers can receive a free commercial diesel hat, while supplies last, as well as a free half-size sub with a high-flow diesel purchase.

Drivers purchasing 100 gallons can also receive an eligible made-to-order item or beverage for free, subject to certain conditions and limited to once per day. Sheetz is also offering bulk DEF for $1.99 per gallon through September 30 at 55 locations equipped with the service.

Maverik joins the celebration

Maverik is offering special deals from September 13 through 19 for Adventure Club Professional members who make a fuel purchase.

Offers include a free fountain drink refill of up to 52 oz, a BonFire bean and cheese burrito for $1, a traditional BonFire pizza slice for $1, and a $1 donut with the purchase of any size Maverik coffee. Discounts on Mountain Dew and donut packages are also available.

Special stop in Tennessee: a free meal for truckers

Truckers passing through Cornersville, Tennessee, this week can find one of the most generous food promotions at Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop.

Professional drivers can receive free self-serve Cup of Ambition coffee, two free scoops of ice cream, and a free pulled pork or brisket sandwich served with Lay’s chips and a fountain drink.

The restaurant has also reserved dedicated seating for truck drivers, who can head directly to the host stand.

Check the app before you park

Many of these promotions are not applied automatically. At Pilot, Love’s, RaceTrac, Sheetz, Kwik Trip and other chains, drivers must be registered with the appropriate rewards program, and in some cases the account must specifically be identified as Professional Driver or Semi-Truck.

It is also worth checking the terms before fueling or making a purchase. Some promotions require drivers to activate a coupon in advance, purchase a minimum number of gallons or visit participating locations.

And there is another good reason to check these offers now. Although National Truck Driver Appreciation Week ends Saturday, September 19, many of the best promotions — including giveaways, bonus points, free food and discounts — continue through September 30.
