One of the plan’s biggest changes is its stronger focus on supply chains , evaluating not only roadway conditions but also the connections between port terminals, distribution centers, and border crossings with Canada.

The freight corridors receiving the greatest attention

Interstate 5 (I-5)

Interstate 5 remains the backbone of freight transportation in Washington.

The highway connects:

It also provides direct access to Northwest Seaport Alliance facilities, making it one of the busiest trucking corridors on the U.S. West Coast.
