Writer, leader, educator, podcaster, and influencer, this Argentine-born entrepreneur inspires and helps thousands of Hispanics. How he turned adversity into opportunity and loneliness into community.
Jorge Rabaso is an entrepreneur, writer, founder of the Hispanic Network Community, and Toastmasters Bilingual—a support network for learning public speaking and communication skills among Latinos in the U.S. He has taught thousands of people around the world.
He has written Tools for personal success and Money Matters, a book about financial management and leadership—both with others and in one’s own life. He is also a poet, influencer, podcaster, and speaker.
But behind this impressive résumé lies a life filled with challenges and three defining principles: turning adversity into opportunity, never giving up, and never feeling ashamed. Rabaso carved his own path—first in his hometown of Buenos Aires, where he lost his father at just 18 years old and had to make a living selling toys from an old car. Later, he emigrated to a country where he didn’t speak the language, didn’t know anyone, and had no clear idea of what his future held.
“What I put in my mouth, I earned myself,” he recalls about his teenage years in a turbulent Buenos Aires, which was going through yet another economic crisis that forced him to shut down his toy delivery business and abandon his plans for higher education.

Jorge belongs to the generation that has lived through cassette tapes, CDs, and the boom of social media, where he is now an influencer. And it was a handful of cassette tapes that sparked his curiosity about helping others achieve their dreams—especially Latinos, who are often raised with a mindset more focused on victimhood than entrepreneurship.
He discovered tapes of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey, a book that remains a bestseller today.
“I listened to them in English over and over because I still wasn’t fluent in the language,” he says. After becoming deeply inspired by Covey’s advice—principles that continue to be essential for entrepreneurs worldwide—he boldly decided to call him. Without shame.
“I asked for permission to teach that course for free to low-income Hispanics.” And they said yes.
From that moment on, his role in the community only grew. He held those talks once a month for 15 years, attracting an ever-larger audience.
A passionate reader, he later founded Hispanic Network, bringing together Hispanics in the U.S. to create a support network for ideas, entrepreneurship, and mutual encouragement. Then, encouraged by one of his followers, he took the leap into writing.
Today, he teaches Tools for Personal Growth, a course that helps students transform their lives using practical strategies. He also created Motívate a Educarte, a virtual program of public speaking and leadership workshops with participants from around the world.
For Rabaso, success isn’t just measured in material achievements but in the impact one has on others.
“The secret to happiness is teaching what you know, sharing your wealth. And I don’t just mean money—I’m talking about advice, time,” he says.
Married and with two children, he is grateful every day for having a roof over his head and food on his table. And he teaches others about gratitude, courage, proactivity, and hope.
